I tried the free version, and I'm lagging like crazy. :/
Free version is classic, and it's not even close to what you'll experience with the current version. That being said, it shouldn't take a crazy awesome computer to play, but Java isn't the best...

It is a bit laggy but I'm getting used to it. As of now I've created swords shovels and metal picks. But I died in a cave lol I'm still trying to figure out if there's a goal...

Agreed on the goal. It's anything from building your dream city, try to explore everything, go to multiplayer maps and have fun.. Whatever. There's TONS to do, and everyone does it differently.
