I am the STUPIDEST person on the planet Earth. I just spent 7 hours trying to fix a MBR with no access to an OS then I remember that Windows 7 has a repair disk..........

I have the same exact problem, but it says it isn't a recognized command.

MBR = Master Boot Record -- I couldn't boot into the os so i was using linux to repair it but it failed.
yeah, and I thought the repair command was 'fixmbr'. Think my hard drive is messed up anyway! So you got yours working?
You could be like most the people where I live and not even know what a repair disk or MBR is.
