Well next semester im taking computer science, we will be using VB. Im thinking of practicing for now either VB or a different language. Can anyone recommend me a good language and why, thanks :D

Java. It's a very universal language and easy to learn if you're taught/learning properly.
Oh, and it'd be cool because RuneScape is programmed in Java. ;)
