Well liquidated enough to afford a phat with cash. Not really expecting a sale. People think junk trading is a viable means of trade.. Junk = cash, you're not going up or down value. :|

junk trade -> phat + junk traded for money
therefore the phat would be bought at a greater price than the ge price because.. "junk" is stuff that has value but you cannot sell and no one buys at all?
I think junk trading has no point, ive always seen it as no point

But what's the point if junk is used as money? You can just give the junk back to someone else for the same value. Your net value remains the same.
That's why we need free trade.
Yes Shane, thats exactly what i was thinking but couldnt put it in words, plus i can merch with free trade, like buy item X for 2m and sell for 2.5m, i miss those days

it does have a point tho? the junk items have "value" but the only way to get the value is from a junk trade otherwise they're useless bankweight
in free trade the junk items would be like 0gp

the point is you wouldn't want addy javs, because they may be considered to be worth 72 gp by the GE, but on the street they aren't worth anything due to the fact that they never sell.

i.e. you would never be able to acquire any sort of currency from them if needed. Therefore it's fluff.
Except by reverse junk trading ergo it's pointless. Everything circulates evenly in the end.

Reverse junk trading? Like adding junk you acquired from a previous trade to a trade? That doesn't reverse that the original trader no longer has the junk and has acquired value thats not really there

And you trade me addy javs, I compensate you money of "equal" ge value. But in reality those addy javs are worth 0 gp. so if its item + addy javs for $, i am paying more for the item (street price)

Theres no overal change in the market but that doesnt mean individualy it circulates. A player like me is never going to have money to buy a junk traded item.. but i could have to sell tt rewardbyjunk
