Is software mode not having the resizeable option something Jagex left out? Or was it intended?

Look in gfx options and change max resize thing.

I'm missing it too. I can only choose 800x600 or 1024x768.

Yeah, I saw your post Shane on someone else's post and had the same problem too.
But why would you be using software mode?

I believe they messed up software mode.

Try OpenGL, that's what I had to do to get True Resizeable mode.
