Done charging all the air orbs for 99 Crafting, now I just need to get the battlestaffs and make enough nats for alching them.

So are air battlestaves a good way to train crafting then? Or is it just really expensive?

Its really training crafting, magic, and runecrafting at the same time. Making your own runes you'll come out ahead by about 300-1300 per staff depending on where you bought the battlestaff.
