Following Jagex's reasoning on removing Romeo/Juliet, that they're trying to only include original content, not borrow from other people's, shouldn't the whole city of Camelot be removed?

camelot consists of the castle inside the gated walls and nothing more. the "city" next to it is called Seer's village.
You've got a really good point. Now that I think of it: orks, Desert Pantheon, Grim Tales, and Constitution should be removed too if they want to keep it original. But I doubt it; we'd get too mad :)
