All right guys, no fanboys on this one, My sister is considering buying a mac for school, she is in audio editing and has a program for mac, linux, and windows, would she better off with a mac,

linux or mac. windows runs into a ton of problems in general, mac's tend to have all that audio / video editing software built in and run less risk of viruses screwing them up.
while linux would be good if she also wants to mold the computer to just doing that kind of work by removing alot of the unneeded stuff.
if it's for audio/video then Mac will be your best bet. she can also use Bootcamp and put Windows on her mac for anything else she needs.

@X - Windows doesn't run into problems. The problems with it are between the chair and the desk.
I don't understand why people are assuming Mac's are better for editing. Can you explain at least?
