So ever since the "z" update runescape won't load on my computer. Do i need to update my browser or is my java out of date? Help! Btw I run windows xp with firefox 3.5 currently

That would depend what your Java is at. You can head over to java.com and find out if you need an update. Also get Firefox 3.6, Firefox 3.5 is old :)
