Ok, so I updated to the new iOS 4.0.2, and it deleted everything on my iPod.
Now, it won't sync my songs, at all.
Is there any way to go back to 4.0.1, or even 4?
I've got a mac, OS 10.4.11

Then when clicking restore, hold shift i believe and find the firmware.

I just tried it, it didn't work to go back to 4. I'll try 3, then if taht works, use that to update to 4.

You can't "downgade" firmware's due to Apple's new signature server. Since iOS 3.1.3, you can't go back so I'm sorry to say you you're stuck at 4.0.2. It's very technical, but that's the gist of it.
