I get my information from when you set farming as an objective in-game. It says "Levelling your farming gives you a greater yield when you harvest and lets you grow better crops"
Oh my mistake. I personally haven't noticed much difference in the yield of my herbs from 50-90 farming, unless its only a fraction of a percent per level maybe. I think they die less though
