Hey guys, well i think this is the correct place for this topic, and now ill ask my question.
I am wondering if anyone could help me out with some mIRC scripting. I am in the middle of creating a bot in mIRC. It has some basic commands, and has user groups, i.e. there is a permisions system that only people "accessed" can use a certain command, !die, for example would make the bot quit the server.
My real questions is this, Could someone help me with sockets, and then help me make a command that gives data based on the sockets. i.e. a socket that would connect to my website, and then if someone typed !get news it would display the latest news article from my website in notice form.
Hope some of you can help me here.
