What Got You Into Runescape (and Rsbandb)?

I found runescape around 2005 after doing a google search for free online game lol, and got addicted to it. I found Rsbandb a while back after searching for runescape podcasts. I love listening to podcasts for all the different games I play.

Back in 2007, one of my friends mentioned a game he was playing called RuneScape. A group of us started playing it. 7 years later and i'm the only one who remains.

As for Bandb, I used to listen to a different RS podcast back in 2008/09 that eventually went under, then I stumbled upon Update on iTunes and have been listening ever since.

I joined Runescape in the fall of 2004, It was morning and was at the bus stop waiting to go to school with my cousin who was telling me about this new game he's been playing.
He told me when we got back home he'd help me set up an account and the rest is history.

I'm currently not playing and haven't for a few months but it's nothing new. Have taken several lengthy breaks over the many,many years.

I found RSBandB just like everyone else. I was listening to as many Runescape podcast as I can, Honestly BnB was my 2nd favorite podcast behind Runescape Radio and Gimgak. But after listening for a month or 2 I decided to join this site.
Which is actually the first forums that I've been apart of, starting back in 2008.

My friend was playing it so I decided to join in, and I always tend to join forums for games I play, so I joined RSBANDB for that <3

I heard some guys talking about it at school and was curious. This was around grade 7. I downloaded java with dial up which was fun, then waited for the game to load on the browser which was also fun with dial up.

Also I originally googled Room Skape, I had only heard the boys talking about it and didn't know its spelling.

When talking to my former school counselor for my depression and antisocialness.
He asked me what did I do when I get home everyday?
I told him the truth... Runescape.

Next week when I went into his office and showed me his computer and he said "I can't find this room skape on the web"
Reminded me of it.
I guess I just mumbled to much. This was like 9 years ago.

I discovered this site from a blurb in Jagex's community roundup, or whatever they called their (bi-)weekly publication featuring community stuff at the time. Kind of got reminded of it recently too

i got into runescape years ago when i was little after my parents said no to letting me join my friends on WoW when it had a monthly fee then i got addicted to this and stuck to it (when i didn't have long RS breaks anyway)

and i was looking for more podcasts to listen to when i started work to help pull me through the working week and stay sane
