Members only Hiscores- discuss

But there's not a lot of content in F2P, so people mostly sit in one area and skill for ranks in Hiscores.

You boot out the non-members the highscores wont become any more competitive. Nobody cares unless there on the front page and lets face it that wont be happening to anyone new unless one of the top 20 or so stops playing.

There just stripping a feature thats been free for a long time. Pointless. I see your only getting 2 updates this month. I suppose thats an increase on the previous two months where you got a total of 1 per month.

Are people actually happy with how this games being run? Triple exp weekends, double loot weekends? The game was never balanced with that in mind. Who cares about your position on the highscores when they just hand **** to you anyway. Theres no challenge.

Seems like a stupid thing to do. But everything they do seems pretty stupid these days.

There are at least 10 highscore frontpage spots filled by pure f2p players, and a ton filled by quit players. The skill frontpages are going to be worthless, people can't say they deserve the rank they'll end up on with 200m. "Forever rank ???", yeah right...

I wish they'd made an archive and an active list, with f2p on both tbh.

I actually care about my ranks, but they don't feel 'real' atm =[

Im glad they made it members only but the only thing that i hate about highscores is the layout... the hall of heroes or w.e is just stupid and looks horrible, also you cant search for a specific rank in a skill cause they removed it :L

^ now that i dont like, and i dont midn they divided it into an active(er) list, but I think if you earned 200m, you should stay regardless, because that would make things cooler

I should be 21 and I would rather my actual rank shown rather then my active rank.

Anyone on a skill frontpage knows what ranks really mean... I spent over 3000 hours in 9 months getting rank *10* agility, not 8.

This doesn't really bother me as i'm retired but this is a bad decision on Jagex's part as this may annoy F2P players and as the player count being low as it is, this may lower them even more. However on the other hand this may drive them towards buying members. But would you buy members just for highscores? i wouldn't.

Can't imagine so. The only person that cares about there rank is that person. Nobody else cares.

So if you was f2p i doubt you cared about rank anyway cause you'd be majorly behind members anyway. All it'll do is **** off f2p people. Some small minded members might like it cause it'll make them look better than they are.

Frankly i think it just serves to devalue it further. As if triple/double exp weekends and all these stupid exp buffs hasn't done that already.

Jagex seems to be devauling the game / stats for the sake of money.

If you heard what I did of the runescape insider sessions and the dreams of the 'player owned port' "This is not the sailing skill" i was thinking:

inb4sailing to get more members oh and you guys said you would never bring back free trade so now I don't believe you when you say no to sailing.

But, I digress.

Actually yesterday I was thinking to myself that there is good and bad about active members on the hiscores, and I'm adjusting but I still wish I could look up the other freeplayers that I knew.

Maybe jagex should leave the ranks of the hiscores active, but allow us to access the persons stats (without ranks) if they are f2p.
