I saw a Smosh video called «FPS sucks» and it made me realise that a large majority of games are now First Person Shooters. They only game that people talk about nowdays are Call of Duty, Halo or Mass Effect.
Frankly, I'm tired of seeing only shooting games in stores or the 15th sequel of the same franchise (Yes, I'm looking at you CoD.)
I mean, why there is no more games like Banjo, Super Mario 64, etc. It was creative, original and enjoyable. And am I the only one who think that old FPS were better than they are now. Personally, I'd choose either Goldeneye 64 or Unreal Tournament PS2 over any CoD game. They have better graphisms nowdays yes, but before you could barely see any pure copy 'n' paste sequels.
Resident Evil, 007 Games in general, Extermination, GTA games, Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassins Creed. Thoses are freaking brillant games, why can't we have more game like these?
Anyone else think that FPS game takes too much space? Or that gaming industry is going downhill?
Wasn't 007 Nightfire a FPS?
