The number one complaint I see about Clan Citadels is that the player has to walk pretty far to get to a bank, making it unlikely that players will hang out at their clan's citadel to skill. A simple addition of a bank chest at tier 2 or 3 would make Clan Citadels much more popular.

Let me get more than two hours worth of resources in a week
1000 may seem like a lot of resources, but working for two hours and then waiting a week doesn't make me want to hang around the Citadel. In my opinion, 1000 resources at 1 per action and then 1500 additional resources at 0.1 per action, then 2500 at 0.01 per action at would be a better cap. This means that the time taken to obtain 1000 resources will still be 2 hours (using the number from the example) but the player could spend an additional 3 1/3 hours to increase their resource contribution to 2500, and then an additional 20 hours to get a total of 5000 resources. Spread across a week, it comes out to an average of less than 3 2/3 hours per day at 5000 resources per week, so it's very possible for a legitimate player to collect 5 times the number of resources originally allowed. Keep in mind that the player spends 1266.6% of the time they normally would while getting 500% of the resources and experience, so this is still fair.

I like both of those ideas. I really have no motivation to visit my clan citadel because of those two reasons you mentioned. Another fix that would be lovely is to make tiers based on the number of people who visit by percentage of your total number of members, not based on constant numbers given by Jagex so that small clans miss out on the advantages of larger tiers.

Great idea both, I like that bank idea, we are an great clan and don't like walking to banks if we have meetings.

I don't think we'll be getting a bank. You can't skill in citadels other than resources. No high alchemy, no fletching, no teleports either. You get told "Please go somewhere else if you want to do that."

I can understand Jagex not wanting bot clans to have a secret place to skill, but it wouldn't be that much of a problem. If a large clan is made up entirely of bots, Jagex could easily ban all of the members at the same time, whereas they currently have to ban individual bot accounts because there is no association between bot accounts.

Jagex is known for adding arbitrary restrictions that aren't needed. I don't see why they would need to restrict skilling in the citadel when you can do skills in your PoH — the most private area in the game. It's also easier to get to your PoH than the citadel.

A bank in the citadel would encourage people to use the area for more than just their weekly resource gathering. There is very little reason to be there even for large clans besides the battlefield, and that is something that for sure should have a bank near it.

Something I would like to see as well is a clan owned bank. People could donate items to the bank of a clan and those items would be used as prizes to members or guests of the clan. This would remove the need for leaders of the clan to hold onto items and keep track of which items were donated to them so they can be used accordingly.

Not having played RS since these updates from the outside looking it seems they've tried there best to copy world of warcrafts system (which..as I've said repeatedly is something Jagex seems to be doing a lot lately and failing at) right down to leveling up your clan (or citadel int his case) except they gimped it.

Probably because there restricted in what they can do so rather than NOT doing something unless they can do it good they just shoehorn it in and say "that'll do!" something they've been doing more and more lately as well.

honestly the no teleport is mostly due to the citidel having its own world. but no skilling is pointless. if you do not want random events, people already go to soul wars. people can stay there forever alching or whatever they want.

Having it on another world is a bad excuse for how it is now. They could fix the world switching problem when entering/exiting the citadel better by setting up a better handoff on the new server before disconnecting you on the previous one so that you don't notice anything. I'm not saying this would be easy because I don't know how complicated it would be for them to make these changes, but this would be similar to how a cell phone can change the tower it is communicating with mid call when you are traveling without you noticing. Jagex almost has it, but it still resets the interface to a newly logged in state when entering/exiting.

The same goes for entering your POH. There is a lot of lag time when you try and enter your house, presumably from the loading of the house design. I don't know if there would be anyway to fix the load time on this unless the house design was downloaded locally to your Jagex cache for the house owner. I'd like to see this fixed as well. Sorry, if this is a bit off topic.
