Apparently Jagex thought that because i was skilling with public and private off, it would be cool to ban me for 3 weeks and bump every single one of my skills back by 7 levels...thank you jagex....thank you...now im only 92 firemaking, 68 attack, 58 strength, and 64 defence...congratz, jagex on being a total asshat...

haha yeah, but now i have to redo firemaking and combat i cant wear my whip or my barrows or my fm cape.........im just reeeeeeeaaaalllyyy annoyed.....i mean them banning me was annoying enough...now rolling back all my skills by 7 levels? gimme a break! ugh...ill still play though....train back up again....but if this happens again....its byebye money in jagex's pocket

If you're a member, I'd sue them. You spend money and you should be able to turn off your chats if you want to. I'd think they'd be able to tell the difference between a bot and someone trying to sit down and hardcore skill. But no. The
phrase "Better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer" comes to mind. I know bots are a problem, but they should really try avoiding nailing the wrong people.

That is 2 wrong people that I know off now who had this happen. Griend by the name Duckbill was 100k from 99 wc and got bumped down to 99, he also lost his fm cape and I believe a few other skills too. I tho maybe he did bot, but I did find it weird he always answered and never looked "bot" like. Also, the rate at which he was getting wc exp seemed normal.

This brings concern and annoyance. We are basically forced to try and not look like bots.

I really doubt that Jagex false bans people. They dont even ban real botters in fear of losing money, so why would they false ban legitimate players?

Uhm yeah I used to think Jagex was good at banning people who deserved it only but then I got banned illegitimately and starting caring when people got unfairly banned... and thus noticing them.

And when they removed free trade originally they said a big reason was that gold farmers would use fake credit cards and stuff to get memberships thus they lost money from it. So I dunno what's changed since then that would make them money off of it.

yeah this happened to my friend, too, he was skilling and after like 3 weeks he just outta nowhere banned and lost his 4 99s and also now cant wear his rapier...what the heck, jagex, and yes, duke juker, i am a member

It is sad that they seem to be banning ppl that aren't botting, and r completely ignoring the real bots. My friend also got false banned 3 days ago, when we had a skilling competiton to c who could skill longer. In the end she went nearly 24 hours, and the next thing I know, she has to MSG me on a secod account. I also hate when ppl accuse you of botting because of high "easily botted skills", but in te end, those skills r the easiest to train legit. I personally had to do over 40 quests since leveling those skills to show that I don't bot. U know that it's getting out of hand, when u have to prove yourself to people, even friends that u don't cheat.

The few people I've heard this happening to are all people I'd already suspected of botting. I almost always play with public chat off, and private off when I nolife. I've gone 70+ hours straight with all chats off several times, never even had a pmod pming me to check up. It's possible some people are reset without reason, but the large majority of people being reset (also the ones complaining about it, saying they didn't) did bot or break the rules otherwise.

When I got 99 Woodcutting, I played for several hours a day with chats off. Half the people there are bots but nothing ever happened to me. I also had about 4 different people come up to me within an hour while doing Herblore at the Warrior's Guild bank box and call me a bot before I made them feel stupid by replying with a simple >.>, so I can see how a lot of people get reported.

There are report sections on the rsof, pmods sometimes pm people to see if they reply (since private chat off doesn't work against them).

I've been reported by at least 1k different people through time, nothing ever happened (because I did not bot).
