Not sure if you guys have heard about it but Homefront was released from steam about an hour ago. What do you guys think of it.

Think it could be a CoD killer? Personally, I think it could. It puts a new ways to play a FPS Multiplayer onto the scene. Basically, if you've never heard or scene any trailers for it, you get battle points. They are the currency for Homefront. From the couple of games I played you get a kill, you get battle points. You need something, hope you have enough battle points and you can get it. Ammo, battle points, RPG to take to take out a tank (yes, there are tanks), battle points. UAV strike, once again, battle points.

Here is a preview from the Campaign (which I've played the first chapter and oh buy is there a lot of action). http://runewire.com/userimages/mli_699/2011/3/2011_03_14_000012e69.jpg (I didn't have setting set to max for this picture)

You get thrown down stairs, people get shot, where you can see, and other people can see. And close to the middle of the chapter, A FLIPPING BUS RUNS INTO YOU!

Now the movement of your screen to me felt a little slow, but I think I just need to find the right sensitivity for myself. There is a very wide array of graphics options you can customize and tonnes of different controls to edit and move so that it fits your playing style.

There is some sort of Theatre mode, not entirely sure how it work but once I get a good game, and it hopefully save, I'll post it and see what you guys think of it.

Getting to Multiplayer, I see it as a mix of CoD and Battlefield. Going over the first game I played, I believe it was called Ground War, you have 3 flags. Think of it like Domination from the CoD games, but then expand it. And when I mean expand, I mean EXPAND! Once you control the 3 points for a certain amount of time, the map just explodes and you get a wider area to explore. From when I played Battlefield 2, the map sized seems just like that. Huge maps for 32 players to play on, and sometimes never see one another besides at the capture points. It has the customization of CoD and after playing Crysis 2 for the past week, shows off how different Crysis 2 is, and how little I remember Black Ops/MW2. Another aspect from BF2 that I like that they added in is the tanks. Those are real game changers and reward the teams that work together. I believe there is a sort of party system (couldn't find out how to get it in a multiplayer match but looking at the controls on the menu, there is a say all, say team and say squad) but in the way that BF2 has a party system.

My overall opinion is that this could be a new way for FPSs to go. Now it does copy some aspects from other games into it, but it also adds in new things that if other games had, would make them even more awesome then they are ready are. But I can only speak for myself. It's a game worth buying in my opinion but you could see a flaw somewhere that will totally turn you away, but overall, it's up to you because it's your money. ;)

I saw a multiplayer preview on G4, and I think it looks a lot more fun than CoD. Definitely gonna buy it if I can scrounge up the money.

Advertising the hell out of this here. And yet I've not seen one single gameplay video of it. Amazing.

Isn't even on my radar really i've seen no footage of it.
