I don't regret Runescape. Especially because if I hadn't started playing it, I wouldn't have gotten involved in RSBANDB and I wouldn't know some of the excellent people I know now thanks to this site.

A Kid asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" and Jesus said. "This much." And spread his arms out on the cross and died. If you believe that he did this for you put this in your signature.

Meeting tons of great people has made it worth it for me. Only thing I regret was sneaking on to play :P

The more Jagex changes it, the more I regret it. It's just not the same game since when I started playing. I really don't enjoy it that much anymore (whenever I play which is rare).

Heh, that made me laugh. I even answered yes to a couple of them XD
Eh, I sort of regret getting members because it really makes the game suck when you get stuck in F2P. Other than that, well... It passed time that needed passing.

At first when I quit, I felt a little bit of regret for all the time spent, but then I realized that it was actually time well spent. I had a lot of fun and made some good friends that I still keep in touch with outside of RS.
Also, I didn't have much choice but to play online games throughout highschool. I came from a tiny town where my entire high school had about 120 students. There was nothing to do in that town. It was either drinking my life away on the weekends with people I didn't really like or hanging out with my online friends. I'd do the same thing if I had a second chance.

There he lay now, sick, miserable, filled with ill-will towards himself; full of hatred for the impulses toward life, full of suspicion of all that was still strong and happy. the more i think about it, the more i regret it. i didn't really talk to anyone at school, because most of my time was spent sitting in front of computers in the library, and just about all my time at home was spent in front of the computer. if i could go back and cut down play time significantly, i would. i appreciate all the friends and awesome people i've met, despite that fact.

I do regret putting countless hours into the game. Maybe if I hadn't played the game I would of had a more artistic hobby.

But I don't regret it at all. Main reason? If I hadn't played back then I would of probably been on the streets a lot more and probably fallen into drugs. Up to date I am a clean person and I am happy about that. Besides that, it opened the MMO door for me. It was and still is cheap entrainment and MUST important of all is where I met 2 of my must awesome friends. Without them? My life would of probably sucked.

I don't regret it at all. Despite how much time and energy I've put into this game I've enjoyed every second of it. I've been playing over 6 years now and it's been a blast ever since day 1.

/agree with everything in the post - Never regretted playing RS for these reasons. I don't look back at it and think of all the time 'wasted' because I played it to relieve stress and experience a genuine feeling of accomplishment. Sure, it's not like I'm getting better irl because of it, but it's allowing me to have fun. That's what hobbies are for, right? At least that's how I'm viewing it ... and add to this that most friends I've met on RS have way better personalities than some "friends" I've had irl, makes it all the more enjoyable.

Course then you look at my sig and see 2300+ hours of WoW but I've been playing RS on and off since classic. Call me an addict if you will :P

You can actually check the hours/days you have played in the Player Profile. You must log in to see your time. You can get to it from the main page on the left or here.

My time played is 132 days 7 hours, that is a total of 3,175 hours over the course of 8 years. That is not too bad I guess. I played Guild Wars for 3,342 hours in a period of 5 years, and I will not speak of Aion... in a way I am glad they don't keep track of time played.
