Cannonballs is a good cheap way to getting Smithing up and making profit, I reccomend you Runecrafting or farming

you should refer to earth271072's post because he has listed many good money making methods that will make you big money in a short time as they are effective ways to make money. however you might not be able to make money using his money making methods if you do not meet the requirements of the money making methods. you should look into green dragon killing to get money to train your skills so that you can be able to use earth271072's money making methods.

How is the battlestaff a way of making money? (im not saying it isnt, I just dont know how it is)

Does it sell way high in GE?

Yeah i used to do the staffs, Yeh you make around 30-40k i think from buying all with lvl 3 varrock armour and selling on low/high in G.E

I make almost 100% of my money off of herb runs.

It's roughly 150k per run, and each run takes about 6 minutes. Runs can be taken (without fear of the herbs not having grown yet, which is the absolutely worst feeling in the world) every 90 minutes.
