There's also an actual story in the game that people care about, unlike GTA, am I correct?

Since vice city theres been a story in GTA. Pretty good ones as well, lots of inspiration from films..much like RDR.

Up to Blackwater in the story.. pretty solid so far. Nothing amazing about the storyline but it's more than passable for the game. Also just found the ingame newspapers, some really hilarious pieces in there;

"At birth the male American can expect to live 43 years.. officials indicate women will exceed that number, on average due to man having the sense to departy earthly toil free from the affliction that accompany old debilitating age."

(About a female doctor) "When will American citizens grasp the fundamental truth regarding equality? Name that all men are created equal. MEN.... I certainly would not be comfortable with undressing in front of anyone but a member of my own ***."

"Only 127 lynchings were recording in the United States last year, the smallest number recorded in 20 years... civil rights groups applaud the statistic, saying it shows real progress."

Justcompleted it. Gotta say I'm not a fan of the ending.

Spoiler for spoilers duh:

I think I'd have been happy with it ending after being reunited. Sure that's not at all original or good but I'd not have to sit through those **** AWFUL missions with Jack. That **** is the most annoying character I've ever come across. Stupid little voice I wanted to shoot the ****. And he kept **** riding his horse into mine going WATCHIT PA11! DUHH!! You little **** runt.

And i can accept John dies i don't like it i don't like how the gov won and the little guy got screwed but that tends to be how it goes in the real world. HOWEVER for the love of **** god don't force me to play as Jack. -.- PLEASE give me an option to play as John again. I HATE his look, i HATE his god **** voice and i HATE his clean shaven *** looking face. Give me back my rough, badass angsty man i don't want to play as this *****.

Spoiler for Spoiler:

Have to agree with you about the ending; most games would have closed out after Dutch died, maybe with a nice little cutscene showing him and his family being reunited. The missions on the ranch are just.. tiresome. Mostly rehashes of the things you do earlier in the game but with your son instead of with Bonnie. And it all comes to an end so abruptly, you're living the monotony of working on a ranch and then the army comes and **** your **** up. I enjoyed the storyline up to the ranch and thought it flowed quite well, but that ending was just so.. out of sync with how the rest of the story played out.

And I also agree about playing as jack, he looks like some ***** off teenager instead of an outlaw or a cowboy.

Those all seem too comical and elaborate to merely be glitches. Bet Rockstar purposely put them in.

Hmm well there are cheats in the game. Don't know what they do but you could be right.

Think my favourite area in this game is Tall trees quiet area but every once in a while you'll stumble across someone or a bear will take you by surprise. It's brilliant. That and I'm trying to find some rare horse so I'm wandering around up there a lot. That and when you clime up the mountain nearby if you get up there as the sun rises theres a brilliant view...which is an odd thing to say in a video game but i went up there just as it was coming up and noticed it.

Got to hand it to Rockstar though no matter what anyone thought of GTA4 they created a very realistic living city and they've outdone themselves on Red dead. I'd like to see GTA;SA style game with all the wildlife thrown in adding all the animals for me has made a big difference. Stumbled across my first snake yesterday..completed the entire game and I'm still finding new things.

edit: Andd just saw a guy being chased by a bear.

...And just lost -50 honor because i shot my horse in the head. Problem was i was riding it at the time and there was a wolf at it's feet...total accident. XD I liked that horse.

I might finally get a chance to pick this up tonight. Did Rockstar manage to put Co-op in this?

Naa not really. Multiplayer is exactly like GTA4. You can free roam with a party of friends across the entire world, you can do some gang hideout missions which is just clearing an area of enemies but theres no story co-op.

Also

Dynamite + dead eye = rocket launcher.
