PC Games!

So I just ordered my computer yesterday with a new 22 inch Acer monitor so I can start PC gaming! Just wondering what games you guys would recommend playing with me. I already bought The Orange Box on Steam (Sale today) and I plan on buying Crysis.

Also, any programs anyone recommends for Windows 7 to download is appreciated

Its actually fairly balanced. Only thing that bugs me is the M60's. Other than that Is fine on the 360. Rivals the PC version <3.

I own L4D2 as well. Might buy it if it goes on sale.

• Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It's the good one, and if you get it then maybe, just maybe we'll then have enough people to try it out in a PC Gaming event

• If you don't already own The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, I'd recommend getting it. The PC experience is amazing. I've spent the last two days going back and installing the most amazing mods for it...flying a dragon mount ftw!
• Not sure if you've attended the official RSBANDB PC gaming events before but if you haven't then Counter Strike: Source and the Half Life Golden Eye mod might be worth looking in to. :wink:

Really, you have so many options. just go explore

Have a game built with the PC in mind. Think fallout 3 but a lot scarier, a lot harder and more FPSy than RPGy

Just be warned it is a *****. You get shot and you'll find yourself bleeding out till you do something about it. NPC's can and do happily murder you in fact the last time i played it i was sneaking through a cluster of buildings and got a shotty in the back of the head...which scared the **** out of me. And then theres emissions. Which can really **** your plans up if your in the middle of something and that kicks in.

It's a game i struggle with every time i try to play it but one that i still recommend everytime someone asks about PC games because it's a really clever unique game and at the low price point it's worth checking out IMO.

And it's only £15 on the UK store so it's gotta be cheap in america as well.

Also have X-COM: UFO Defense (old game), WoW (going through that stage of gaming

), Hover (old game), and Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete (awesome old game). Anyways, most those are good games. Blizzard is great for RTS. Total War series is always good. And I'm always looking to add more games to my collection. Anyways, those are my picks. So much gaming, so little time to share it all.

Usually goes in cycles. Hope you love your PC, especially Windows 7. I like it a ton myself.

Here is my list of **** you should definitely play on the PC:
- CS:S, one of the best twitch based FPS games around
- BF:BC2, though you said you already had it for the 360

- Fallout 3, if you didn't get this on the xbox
- The STALKER series, awesome shooter-rpg type games
- Garry's Mod, build **** and mess around
- World of Goo, great indie game where you build towers and structures from balls of goo stuff
- Half Life 2: DM, come to the RSBandB PC gamer events
- Red Dead Redemp- Oh nevermind, console only. **** rockstar.
and when you get your new PC I suggest you use Ninite to install popular programs and such in just one click.

Oh, and by the by, I don't know how good your computer is, but make sure you get as much RAM upgrades as you can and a good graphics card for these games. You will definitely need it.

Not so much on RAM. First, he's got 8 GB of RAM. Second, most high-end games require only 2GB. Third, you shouldn't be gaming with memory hog programs like Firefox or Photoshop open.

Gaming is more CPU and GPU, less RAM.
