Yea, I saw that. REALLY wish they would have said something before I ended up dumping most of my spares. Would have filled that second inventory, but I thought it would just be for trading, which wouldn't help anyone.

XD That's just cruel. They saw the demomen where losing and threw them a bone. Theres going to be a lot of demomen about now i think just testing out the weapon.

And 65% protection against blasts? Ouchh

Badass indeed. Could prove to be a great offensive class now, with serious defensive capabilities... Very interesting

Judging by the last comic featured, the third item will likely be 'Scottish Res..', though I don't know what the end of that word would be.

I don't think it'd say "Scottish", it's probably something else. I googled "Scottish Res" to see what would come up, and there were pages and pages of some rugby team. :|

New soldier weapon. I'm waiting to see on this one..it all depends just how fast it moves if i can't hit a target long range with it without him looking the other way it's not going to be much good.

Sounds pretty awesome. It'll be great for taking out snipers who are too predictable, and even some scouts while they're jumping. 80% faster means it'll be faster than an arrow for sure, and for the most part it'll be too hard dodge if you're at a distance say the length of the sewer in 2fort.

It looks like it'll also be good for stationary targets, or things running directly at you (snipers, heavies, pyros)

Soilder item 2+3 are crap IMO, but unless someone got 25k kills for the Demomen, Soilder should be getting the 4th weapon. And judging by the achievements, it will likely be grenades.

EDIT - http://www.teamfortress.com/war/part7/index.htm Soilder won. And boots are the 4th item...

EDIT2 - Got the 3 milestones for Solider + milestone 1 for the Demoman. Steam's being kind of idiotic, and I can't seem to use any of my weapons atm. Ugh. Only thing missing from the solider now is the boots, though I'm sure that'll happen eventually.

The boots could be handy though..I've been rocket jumping + shooting bloody hell down on people a lot lately and it's pretty effective if you can aim well. Still i doubt i can test anything out yet cause the Europeans probably aren't up yet. I'd still be asleep but i had to get up for work only to find I'd moved to the north pole in my sleep.

edit: Woo achievements. Got the one for jumping extra high in a rocket jump and another for killing a soldier while we was both in the air..

I just need 3 more achievements till I've got them all again. Still waiting for my boots :(. They'll be majorly useful, and supposedly they take over the shotgun spot, so honestly it won't be an issue.

I'm liking the Direct Hit (new rocket launcher), though I haven't used it enough to know if it will be my primary weapon of choice for the Soldier.

Blimey some of those achievements looked hard/luck based dunno how you got them all so quick. XD As for weapons I've got the pickaxe so far..it's about as useful as the shovel was..in that i really don't use it much. I have been taking advantage of the extra speed and if I'm low on health..and no medics or health kits are about i go on a suicide run and try to hurt/kill a person or two..that's working out ok.

The MASS amount of demomen this update has brought out is irritating me though..the stickie blasts are a lot more common now.

edit: I did like the emot from the pickaxe though..very unexpected when i did it.
