On a side note, it's wise to have a good password on your router, including a non-default username.
Most routers nowadays have you choose a username while the old routers would normally have the default username as admin or just blank.
Basically if you have any security on your router you should be fine. I'm pretty sure routers always have connections from off the network your networks to be denied automatically. You should be fine really. To be honest it was probably some kid that just figured out how to find out other peoples IP's and he thinks he's pretty cool =/
