 Post subject: Runescape in school wait one problem!

Runescape is unblocked on our school computers but there is one problem. The correct version of java is not installed. Heres the one problem computers are so you can not download is there any way around this like emailing the file to myself then i how would i install please help me!

By emailing the file to yourself you'd still have to download a .exe, and as you said, you can't. However if you're able to download .zip files and then RUN a .exe you could email yourself a .zip file with the .exe inside.

install in on a jump drive, then run it off it, or save the exe and install to the computer

Just head to Portablepps.com and get Firefox portable, as well as Java portable. Stick those on a thumbdrive, or put them on your student section of a network harddrive. That way it should be available to you no matter which computer you go on.

Thanks for that! I have similar problems being forced to use IE 6- the perfect solution!

Your school forces you to use IE6? I thought there was a law against abuse toward students.

On a serious note. If you are able to run Firefox, Opera or any other browser it should work fine.
Though if you are unable to run .exe's on school computers you might hit a brickwall.

I thought Firefox Portable couldn't do that, did they update it? I use Google Chrome Portable.
