A dark house portal has appeared to the south of Falador once again. Tremble as you approach it, for it leads to the house of the Grim Reaper, Death himself!

In this year's Halloween event, Death has a problem with an uninvited guest. Choose to help out and you will journey to a realm rarely trod by creatures with only two feet, and converse with its irritable monarch.

Completing the event will reward you with two new wearable items – one of which has a mind of its own – so seek out the house of Death...if you dare!

We've also created a wallpaper based on this event, which you can download here.

Summary:
Where to start Web of Shadows:
Enter the dark house portal south of Falador.

Requirements to complete Web of Shadows:
None

In other news...

We’ve made some improvements to the way banks calculate your free space. Free-players who used to be members will no longer have to dump all their members items to be able to use their banks and everyone can now see their usage in more detail on the interface. For more information, please read the Controls - Banks page.

We've updated the bank to make it automatically resize to fit your screen better. The interface will automatically extend downwards to show you more of your bank items.

Zahur in Nardah, who's moved to the building east of the bank, will now decant all of your potions (in any combination) into 3-dose vials for you. He charges a small fee for this service to cover the cost of any extra vials needed.

We've swapped two tasks in the Ardougne Achievement Diary. The medium diary might look a little odd if you've already completed it, but you should still be able to wear the cloaks for their effects.

An auto re-pick feature has been added when harvesting your mushrooms, berries and fruit from Farming patches.

When collecting a single item at the Grand Exchange, left-click will now withdraw the actual item and right-click will withdraw it as a note. Withdrawals for multiple items will behave as before.

Holiday events are fun disractions even if the reward is lame. I like the bank changes that make going f2p easier.

Its complete crap..

It took long
the rewards are crap..
But i like them (rewards)

I like the part about getting missed events (due to the fact that i destroy computers (not literally) )

I wonder if it's too late for them to make a "Best Update Ever" shirt. :P

They've outdone themselves this week, with fixing the p2p-->f2p banking problem, "fixing" 76king, and the re-sizable banking window. I'll have to try out the Halloween Event later. :D

Hated this event, the webbing part was a complete waste of time.

I rated it a 1 because I could

Oh I wish they did the bank calculations sooner. I'm glad they finally got around to it though, since it really wasn't fair to F2P'ers who were once P2P. I've yet to do the Halloween event, so I might amend my reply.

4/5 mostly because of the bank update im free-to-play so that's great I'm glad they fixed 76king i never liked that..never tried it.

the event was okay, the reason for the spider sitting in the bathtub was lame, but other than that just a usu-all holiday event...my skiller outfit looks pretty cool now,it's hard to make a good skiller outfit in f2p.. here it is.

Hey guys cant you get missed holliday events (say i missed an xmas) cant members do the quest and get those items

Nope, that's one thing they haven't broken (yet atleast :(). The holiday event items are rewards that show how long someone has been playing. If someone who started an account today could go back to Lumbridge swamp and get a Zombie head (2005 Halloween event) then it would make mine worthless. It'd be almost as bad as tradeable holiday items because anyone could get any item. Yes, I'd like bunny ears(2003 Easter) and a scythe(2003 Halloween) but then how would all those people who first got them feel? They'd feel cheated since I wasn't playing at that time but now, 6 years later, they let everyone get the item.

The event was average and like most of Jagex's holiday events - Long, dumb reason behind them, and tedious.

I found the event quite fun, atleast the small agility course. The reward though, brings the rating down, so 3/5,

The reward was O.K., but the actual event was horrible, the only interesting part of it was getting to the spider queen and the rest was boring.

I had fun with this event. Very good graphics for this event, along with a fun puzzle to figure out. I think to many things to web, but still fun. 4/5 from me.

I like holiday events and this one is no different, although they do seem hugely dumbed down from the holiday events a few years ago :(
