Nintendo DSi. My brothers was a dud.

My brother received a new Nintendo DSi for Easter and he was really excited. He played on it for like 8 hours a day and on the fourth day, it stopped working completely. Nothing worked. Not the screen, and any of the buttons except for the power button. I said to him. "It's a new product and it will not be right yet." My brother said. "They already made a Nintendo, it's not a new product, it won't break." We returned it and he got a new one. It is five days old and it has not broken down YET.

It would be under warantee if it's under a year or so old, so no worries.

Can't believe this would be common, but flukes like this happen. Keep us informed, it'll be interesting to see if there's one thing that tends to kill the handheld.

more likely just a faulty one by chance, never know.

haven't had any problems with my dsi as of yet.

Yeah, I read a review that said the DSi was actually sturdier than the DS lite.

it was covered on warrenty but i'm not sure if they'll get him another 1

I'm going to buy a new DS pretty soon, I'll probably buy a DSi. I do admit that I'll never use the camera that is included with it for any reason at all. xD

When any electronics product is made, there are always going to be "duds". I hope Nintendo helps you out with replacing it though.
