Sacred clay axe will give you 100% more xp each log you cut than a regular hatchet.
Volatile gives 120% each log you cut than a regular hatchet.

be warned, when using a volatile tool it could change to a different tool at anytime.

the volitile tool that is earned with SC points will turn into a random tool (hense the name volitile  ) and it will give you double the exp earned while using it so its pretty useful for skilling, but thats if it turns into the right tool though. It also requires 40 in the skill of the tool you are using like: Harpoon 40 fishing, pickaxe 40 mining, and so on.

Keep in mind that the clay tools degrade so you will have to play the minigame to get more, that can be the problem for people that don't like stealing creation.

Not could change - will change. I'd say you should stick to the normal clay tool rather than the volatile one. I've tried the volatile tool and it just isn't worth bothering with.

but it cuts the time in half(granted you have to play stealing creation, but that's usually more fun than woodcutting :P )

Well if it really is gone in 20 minutes and a game is 20 minutes, it pretty much evens out but you have to go through the annoyance of SC.

I do stealing creation whenever I want to get a large amount of xp. The hatchet's and all tools give 100% of the original xp. Although the game lasts 20 minutes, there are some non-combat clans where the games last about 13-14 minutes. Also, the game is fun and the people are nice.
