Oh god no. DONT TAKE AWAY MY PIRATE BAY. I hope they win.

Isohunt is ok, but it nearly doesn't have as much files as The Pirate Bay does. But I'm assuming if The Pirate Bay does close down, they'll all go to that seeing as Demonoid has HEAVILY limited membership (been trying to score a spot for months).

I hope to dear god that The Pirate Bay wins.

Hope TPB wins. Was semi-following the trial, and it sounded like the prosecutor really didn't know what the hell he was doing. Kept messing up at slight things, didn't know answers to basic questions, couldn't really prove his evidence was correct...

Long live The Pirate Bay :fire:

Probably not. At least not till after appeals. Until then it'll run at full force without any changes. After appeals, the site might just be sold to someone else, and they can carry on the legacy. Considering how it's paid for, and how the server locations are unknown, I can foresee TPB lasting quite a bit longer. Even if it does go down, there are plenty of other sites to carry on in its place.

I hadn't realised this was going on so it's been interesting catching up on things. Sad if it does go but they'll be other pop up in it's place.

Yeah. To quote the Pirate Bay website: "Don't worry - we're from the internets. It's going to be alright. :-) "

Oh my god,

LOl one thing;s for sure about the pirate bay's windows keygens and other windows software available there.

Never EVER download windows xp keygens or any kind of file that offers windows for free. As soon as you connect your pirated software to the computer, A pop-up will appear on your compuer regarding "GWA" (Genuine Windows Validation).
And everytime u reboot the computer, you have to wait a while before you can log in. It will stay there until you purchase a valid license. Even trying to use someone elses key will not work. Reason being is that, you have to connect it to the internet to validate or call microsoft. ONce you tell them that key, they will look on their databases and see if the key has been validated and used already. And if it has, your'e screwed.

I think all software companies should tak an approach like this to stop pirating.

AS for the pirate bay.....i hope they win

cheers, dafin0

You're doing it wrong then, or the kengen is incomplete. PS requires the same thing and it works fine.

Probably, but it would have to go through a separate trial, now that this one is over. I'm not too knowledgeable in court proceedings though, so don't quote me on that one.

They've stated that the website will not die, no matter what happens. It's not like they're the only ones keeping it alive or anything. Plus Pirate Bay is teh sux as a tracker.
