The next skill

What do u think would be a good runescape skill and why?
I think that a skill where you could ride vehicles and other animals would be nice but probably wouldn't happen anytime soon.

i suggested mounts on the rs official forum and they locked the thread and said it would never be done due to animal abuse or something like that.

raise dead would be a cool skill.
necromancy or something.
if the monster leaves behind bones you could raise that or get power ups or something.

The new CEO has already stated that sailing will never be a skill while he's CEO.

Don't hugely care, the last decent skill they released was farming and even that's just edging it's way into useful. Construction is useless unless your looking for a prayer leveling, hunter which is useless beyond belief unless you want to train ranging and summoning which is quiet possibly..no in fact it is the worst skill i have ever had the misfortune of coming across in any MMOG ever. And I've played a fair few. It was a train wreck from the get go, so much so that they had to revamp most of it soon after but there was no saving it because it was an idiotic way of creating a skill in the first place.

I remember the time when a skill was good for multiple purposes and not one single thing with a crap load of useless junk on top. So unless this new CEO can bring something new to the table and make skills worthwhile again I'd rather they didn't it's just one more skill I'd rather not train but feel like i have to cause i want my ST higher.

there is no way that sailing will be the next skill. There isn't enough to do with it. They can't steal constructions idea and make a POB lol, that would be terrible. I can't see which direction they are going in with skills nowadays.

POB = portal of boat?

I highly doubt Jagex will release a sailing skill. If you like to sail a lot, then try fishing trawlers or continously charter ships. :mrgreen:

They should make a Sports skill next, so that RS players can get 99 on something they never do irl.

Sailing would be awful and pointless. There's already plenty of forms of transportation, and you already take a ride on other ships. There's no need.

Rotfl. I could actually imagine that being rather popular.

I'd personally prefer if they stopped trying to add skills and focused on improving existing ones. It doesn't seem like they could realistically add much more, but at the same time I understand that they kinda have to in order to keep people interested.

I agree with Chiefy. I don't think that they should add another skill but rather improve on the ones that are up. Sailing is just a rumor that people got from the quest with the hot air balloon.

I think the next skill should be shape shifting. at lvl 1 you cold turn into a rat and at lvl 99 you could turn into a kalphite queen.

I think they should make a skill called :shock:

"shop"

You make your own shop around and people enter a building and type the name of shop they want and usernames come up with the shop and their level. the higher the lvl the better the stuff to sell.

this would make the GE pointless.
or not catch on because of the already existing GE.
