I found that strange fruit's price has gone up a lot, worth 3k each now. Is it possible to get them anymore? I have 33 in bank, should I keep them later when they get like 10 each?

Strange plants are still randoms, they were made less common though, and don't poison you anymore. As for why the fruit is going up, I have no idea.

I Haven't got that random since the update. I keep my fruit in the bank. I use them to cure me when I'm poisoned instead of pots. I have over 100 in my bank that I saved up over the years. (you can tell I don't get poisoned ofter)

Do they act as normal anti-poison potion, or super ones? I only knew that they restore some of your energy percentage, not poison thing. Anyways they went up 35% in a week, and 330% in a monthly graph.

The reason have been rising so much is that a merchanting clan decided to merch them. SELL NOW! The clan has dropped the item and the price WILL crash.

Oh well I won't sell since I only have 34 of them in bank, which I've saved over the years. Is it still possible to get them from randoms anymore?

Retired random events

Some random events are no longer active, which in most cases is because the person (or creature) responsible was considered to no longer be up to the job. Most of the guardians, for example, now spend their days in the Enchanted Valley (which you can get to using the fairy rings), while some of the more unsavoury types, like Cap'n Hand, reside in Port Sarim jail. You'll still see Dr Jekyll from time to time, dashing to the Varrock apothecary in a desperate bid to keep Mr Hyde in check; and if you're in Karamja to the south-west of Brimhaven, you may come across the strange plant, which still produces rather excellent fruit. The Drunken Dwarf will also be seen on occasion, staggering about in an erratic fashion. If you talk to him, and he takes a liking to you, he might treat you to a kebab and some beer.

Found this in the knowledge base, should answer your question about the extinct fruit. the plant still gives it out, it just is no longer a random.

Well that explains a lot. It also means that there isn't anymore plant random :P. Does anyone know how long does it take for them to spawn once you pick one up?
