If the US Army is anything like our Royal Forces, you can't 'leave' the army as such. If there is a crisis, then you can be recalled at any point up until the age of 60 or you have one hell of a reason why you can't leave, such as you don't have any legs from a car accident or something.

yeah i know, almost every male in my family has joined the US military, and im going to soon too. i never said anything about her leaveing, i said she knew what she was getting into when she signed the papers to join. i know you cant just get up and leave when you want to, if you could
the military would have like 5 people in it..
