Being sick...

Sucks I know. I am right now. Strep throat, and asthma attack right on top of it. Last time I had an asthma attack was 4 years ago. Have you ever been sick where you have been out of school for 3+ days? Or were hospitalized? (Breaking bones don't count) I get loads of sinus infections and throat soreness all the time.

I have had a severe case of strep where I was out for 5 days straight. Wasn't fun

i spent more time at the doctor then i did at school when i was young...one year i missed a few hundred days of school.
when i was really really young i almost died at the hopst, and if they gave me any more eppie (sp?) i would have had a heart attack...

i have asthma also and a really big word that means the cartilage behind my air way never grew (or atleast hasnt since my last test)
and a really minor case of CP (a learning disability) (didn't talk til i was 3...doctors said i would never walk..but i did start when i was 4 or 5)

i had so many ear infections they had to put tubes in my ears to drain them...(not nearly as bad as it sounds)

and a few minor heart probs...

good news in all of this is i havent had a asthma attack in a few years, and i'm going to do a (hellish!) test in a year or so to see if there's any cartilage behind my air way now (it might have grown as i have over the years) and if i get a clean bill of health...its off to the army i shall go. if not then im screwd...lol.

i just shook the flu a little while ago. the kind where you hack and hack til you puke.

yeah, being sick sucks lol. but even after all this, i still look and act like your avg 15 year old...other then a small dent in my chest..
but i don't even have to take any med's anymore other then sleeping pills....im doing pretty good now. grew out of most of it i guess.

Wow, well, my absolute sensitivness to throat infections is nothing compared to some of you here. But it sucks, had 41.5°C fever with no doctor in the neighbourhood, that makes you start to think about your life.
Then, I fell couple of metres from a tree, diving with my head on tough onderground, I had a brain hematoma, atleast I think, since it costed too much for us then to visit a doctor in Ukraine, so I had severe headaches for 3 years. It stopped now *crossed fingers*

until i was 12 my immune system was crap and i was always sick.
i went like 4 months w.o being sick then last week it was so bad i was out of school for 2 days.

Oh yea add the flu on that. went to the doctor. took strep test. positive. took flu test. positive. got new inhaler. used it so much it is almost gone. not good.

I'm kinda lucky with illness as far as colds/flu/headaches go. I only tend to get really bad bouts of flu every couple of years. Last time I had it was a week after my birthday.

I`m rarely sick, and if i am its mostly fewer.
All i do is sit next to the computer, play Xbox and go to school and my immune system is better than others =P

I have a few things wrong with me...

I have recurring tonsolitis which is just I get tonsolitis all the time but its bad because it goes away after a week or so. My throat just swells up, which is kinda bad haha.

Then I get strep throat very easily because I have the recurring tonsolitis, I had both strep and tonsolitis for a month or so and was out for a few days.

On top of all this that has happended this year I got mono about 2 months ago, I'm not feeling it anymore they put me on meds that kicked its ***. But its always going to be dormant in my body now I can get it very easily if I get in contact with someone else who has it.

get your tonsols out, thats what i had to do...not as bad as it seems.

I rarely get sick, but just recently I had vomitting + diarrhea + congestion. No fun >_<.

I get loads of crappy little colds which give me a bit of a chesty cough and snotty nose, like all the time, but they never bother me.

I had flu not long ago and it was absolutely hellish, was bed ridden for a day it was that bad, but that's the worst I've ever had, going to grab a flu jab next year so I don't get that again. Also, I had asthma as a kiddy but I grew out of that ages ago.
