Bought it and beat it the day it came out wasn't as much of a epic battle as I thought it would be but it was alright. Thoughts? I also plan on buying the Pitt because that's my hometown

I had heard it was a bit sucky and not worth the money. There again Bethesda has always been a mixed bag with it's DLC crappy horse armour and then massive packs like shivering isles.

For 800 MS Points it was definatly worth it in my opinion. The whole thing takes around 2-3 hours to finish. The missions are really action packed and are leaning more towards FPS fans. Plus the rewards after the quest aren't bad at all, but my personal favourite is the Chinese Stealth Armour. Bethesda has done a great job on it. I am certainly will be looking forwards the next 2 episodes.

I loved it.

I liked how you don't have to worry about ammunition during the simulation. Same with health.

The end battle wasn't very 'epic' at all. I love how you can get the General's sword, it does massive amounts of damage. I have only 14 in my Melee Weapons skill, and I can still kill someone with 3-5 blows.

The Chinese Stealth Armor is also quite amazing. The Winter Power Armor isn't as good as I thought it'd be.

I was shocked when all of the outcasts tried to kill me at the end. I was gathering my loot and got shot. xD

Definitely worth the 800MS points.

Yea I was shocked when they did that too. I was thinking that done something wrong but according to Fallout Wiki, if you take too much stuff especially the ones you don't need (for example you take the stealth armor when your sneak skill is 17...). The outcasts get greedy since they are the ones who went through all the trouble getting to the vault.

But talking about winter power armor, it's already been in the game since release. The new version just has the "winter" theme.

I'm guessing you haven't played Morrowind or Oblivion on the PC. These mods and expansions were all designed for the PC. I haven't played a ton of Oblivion on the PC, but with Morrowind all those little mods like horse armour and whatever were all free for download. Maybe somewhere in transition from PC to Xbox they were forced to make put a price on it? I'm just guessing, but Bethesda have always been lenient with mods, they even link to user made mods on their website for Morrowind and Oblivion.

You'd be amazed how much user made content there is on the PC for those two games.

Can't wait to get it. I've loved Fallout 3 so far, but any expansion is sure to improve and add on a bit for me to do. Kind of boring killing the same ol' Super Mutants again and again. Doesn't help that I've been stuck at level 20 or 21 without the ability to gain experience...

Good to know a few people have enjoyed it.

Unfortunately the new DLC doesn't increase the level just YET. Broken Steel DLC (which will be released in March) will raise the level cap to 30.

I loved it, it was definitely worth 800MS. The Gauss Rifle is insane and the mission itself is just really cool.

One problem I do have is that they are waiting until the third DLC pack to increase the level cap. Why not increase it with the first pack? I'm gaining all this potential XP on the first two packs but I can't go anywhere with it. Hopefully there will be plenty more DLC after The Pitt and Broken Steel for me to get to level 30 with.

I think I found something out. o.o

My armor I get from the safe, or whatever it's called, after you beat the Operation: Anchorage storyline hardly degrades (at least it doesn't for me). I take it everywhere and use it constantly, but it still hardly degrades. Does it do anything like that for you?

To be honest i thought it would have been longer, completed it and have all my achievements for it within 2 days, so not much of a challenge, the only thing i really enjoyed was V.A.T.S mode :P Loved being able to take someones head off with a sniper rifle :P

If you really want a challenge on it though try this...get every skill on there to 100 :) Takes a while but it can be done as I've done it :P

(EDIT: Yay Iron Member :))

You can't get every skill on there to 100. Only a few, depending on how you leveled up, I doubt you can get to level 100 from level 15 by collecting books scattered throughout the wastes. I believe there's only 10 of each book.

Is this download available for PC? Should've got Fallout 3 for Xbox ... then again the 360 can't play on high def for some reason now anyway, too much playing probably killed it.

Seems like I can get it on computer, just isn't as easy.
