Cats Tail?

What do you guys think about this topic,
Can Cats Control their tails?
I have always wonder if they them self chose and make their tails move when they want or it only moves by reactions (like scratching a dog by its hip makes its back leg move)
I myself think that they can move their tails when they want but what do you guys think?

yes, cats can control their tail, because it is part of their spine.

yeah, like I watch my cat, and it swipes it's tail over it;s body to it;s face and stuff

Yes they can fully control their tail. Also by observation. I forget why they can... I know it's not their righting reflex as they use their actual spine for that...
