Well, I'm about to lose half my friends on these boards. It seems that whenever this topic comes up, I always do.
I'll try to be as in-depth as possible, seeing as the Philosophy of Homosexuality and Religion is pretty much my "Life's Goal".
Anyway, I'll start off by saying that I, personally, and against Homosexuality as a whole. I'm against the idea of it, the "morality" of it (not morality in terms of "Right and Wrong", but in terms of what I want my children growing up to see.), I personally think that it isn't natural (and if you read on, I'll explain how it could be natural, but wrong), and I actually think that it truly is against my Religion (I'm a Christian, but very loose. I'm actually against the idea of a church, and share a philosophy about God with Ghandi. Every person has their own idea of God, and what that God stands for. I am only right about my God, and I am totally clueless about yours.) Anywhoo, if you real on I'll explain every single one of my ideas for each of those listed 'reasons'.
The Idea of it-
I actually think Homosexuality is a psychological impracticality invented by those that haven't found love, confused it with intense friendship, or is an excuse made by those who aren't willing to do the work and research it takes to attract someone from the opposite ***. Sexuality, and physical attraction is most definitely a science. It takes work to "find love" (both emotional, and physical). Love, quite contrary to the holy wood 'chick flick' ideology, does not walk up to you in the middle of life. It is you that must walk up to love.
The Morality of it-
Now, before I start this off, I just want to say that I absolutely do not mean Moral like "Right and Wrong". I simply mean that I see it as something I do not want spread around in everyday life, and I absolutely do not want my children to grow up seeing it. Heterosexuality is the ONLY way humans can reproduce. Yes, I know were are far long in science and there are surrogate mothers and things of that nature, but those are natural. Those are as fake as the ***** you see on holy wood actors. Sure, the kid is half yours, but why not adopt? You people complain about the world being to populated, you cry when you see the sad children's faces on TV, you shake your heads and roll your eyes as those around you have nothing but apathy for the Child Service Programs. Yet what do you do? You pay thousands of dollars to incubate a child of your own for 9 months, and then when it's born you forget about the Millions sitting in hell holes around the world. If you want to do something good for the world, AND have a child, then adopt. Okay, now I know this isn't part of the whole "Homosexuality" topic, but it does relate. People reading my post would've said "Well they can get a surrogate mother...blah blah blah". So technically, this section just stops about 5 extra posts from even coming into existence.
Part of the same topic, is the idea of Homosexual couples raising children. Now, I know if I said "it's wrong because I kid raised by homosexuals will only be ***" I would be liar. However, a child raised by homosexual parents is going to be extremely biased. They will shoot down every attempt made to say, in a polite and thought out way, that homosexuality is wrong. They will be ignorant and not listen to the other side. They will be politicians (heh, joke. Get it?). But honestly, they will be a new generation of bigots. I feel as though I have thought of completely practical ways of explaining why I think Homosexuality is wrong, and yet there are people who, when listening to me, roll their eyes and call me a "Big-headed conservative to rolls in the money of the poor". And yet when I ask them where I have a weakness or flaw in my thought, they can say nothing. I'm simply saying that children raised under Homosexual parents will not ABSOLUTELY be ***, they will have a HUGE chance of being ***, and that if they aren't then they certainly wont listen or care about people like me.
It's just not natural-
Homosexuality is not, at all, in any sort or form, natural to the human and/or animal world. Honestly, anybody who got above 3rd grade science would know that, and if you argue against it than YOU ARE AN IDIOT!!!!!!!
Ahem, here's why:
A biologist by the name of Charles Darwin (perhaps you've heard of him) did research in the field of Evolutionary Science. His work lead to the progress of many scientific theories, one of which is the Theory of Natural Selection. It states that only favorable characteristics will move on in an animal race, and those that are not favorable will die out. These characteristics can be anything from color, to speed. Now here is where Homosexuality comes in to play. Homosexuality entails that a Male is attracted to a Male, and Female to Female. If this were to happen, then those couples would not reproduce, quite simply because IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. Now, if that were to happen, then they would not have offspring. And if there are no offspring, then the genes of the parents will not go to the next generation. Thus, homosexuality cannot, in any way, be natural. It would've died out thousands of years ago if it were. This means that it can only be a Psychological affair. If it is psychological, then it is learned. If it is learned, then it can be taught. This means that it is, most definitely, a choice. You can, in fact, choose to be Homosexual. Now, if it is Psychological, then it will certainly be hard to "un-learn" it, but it can be done. Thus, it's not natural. Argument over.
EDIT: sorry, forgot the "how it could be natural"
It could be natural in terms of brain function. A mutation could form in which you process phermones from your *** as the phermones of a different ***. Thus, you are scientifically attracted to the same ***. However, it is a mutation...not natural. That makes sense, but not as to why we should let it happen. It would be like saying people who are addicted to crack have the right to smoke it on the street. After all, addiction is a mental problem and you are born with addictive tendencies. Honestly, a well trained physician could tell you your chances of being an addict. So why not let them do it in public? It's not hurting you, so why bother? Simply because you're against it. The idea of it, and the morality of it. Case and point...
Against my Religion-
This argument is the hardest of all to make, and nobody is ever right. Simply due to the fact that Religion is different to everyone. No single person believes EVERYTHING the same as another. My god is as different from the person sitting next to me in church, as it is to the god of an Atheist. However, I believe that my god made Man and Woman to reproduce and carry on the existence of mankind. I believe that if he did this, then he wouldn't make there be a Homosexuality. Simply because there would be no need for it. It would only serve to slow down the reproductive process, and since Homosexuality (whether you choose to accept it or not) is mostly about ***, and ***'s only purpose is reproduction, then I doubt any god would create something that goes against the distinctive purpose of something that's used to procreate a species. It just wouldn't happen.
I know this is a weak argument, but I already said that nobody is going to be right about this. Religion cannot be proven, and I believe that the day it is proven we'll all feel like a bunch of idiots.
