A cool skill idea...

I just thought of a skill that maye jagex could make, a music skill! This skill could make it so you train up instrument skill and then make money from it. You could start at an easy instrument like the recorder. Then move on to drums, guitar, or even bass. And, since players interacting with eachother has been destroyed be the GE, you can start bands with your friends and make even moe money by playing gigs. The more gigs you play the more money you make but, you can only play one gig and then you have to wait a certain amount of time to play again. Of course instruments will be expensive like 150k to 200k to buy an ok guitar and maybe 1mill for an expert guitar (which will accumulate more money). What do you guys thnk of this skill? I think it would get me playing RS alot more and maybe inspiring me to make my fist 99...

I don't think that would ever happen. That doesn't have anything to do with the time era that Runescape is set in.

Yeah, I know but, The game isnt set in a medievel time its just set in a fantasy wolrd. And they have done plenty of modern day things in game. So, I think making this skill is somewhat possible

This would be an awful skill, if implemented there would have to be alot more than just instruments. In runescape right now there's the jukebox and multiple musical instruments from various quests and if a musical type skill was introduced those things would feel strange beside the real skill.

I'd actually thought of a musical skill before, but you can get sheet music as rare drops or from quests and you learn to play that song. Each song acts like a buff which can be used on yourself or another player and give temporary bonuses like +1 max hit or increased ore drops or a greater ratio of swordies to tuna when harpoon fishing etc. Instruments could be made with the crafting or smithing skill, but higher levelled instruments would require rare components or have a greater number of skill requirements to make. A higher level in the skill would extend the duration of these buffs and allow the user to learn higher level songs and use better instruments.
