Monkey Madness

What should I do about beating the boss in Monkey Madness? I've heard melee is good with prayer, shouldn't take to long to get mine to 43 or above. I currently use a zerker helm, whip, dds, granite plate, rune legs, dragon boots, glory ammy and obby shield for melee.

Don't melee it and don't bother getting protect from melee.

Level your prayer to the level for protect from magic, though. You can mage him with Earth Blast or range him while protecting magic and you should be fine.

He's supposed to have high magic resistance so it might be a better idea to range it. Although I used magic and didn't seem to notice. You should bring 100+ casts/arrows just in case.

If you're unsure, just bring a ring of life + teleports. Act fast if you are going to tele away though, it can hit hard.

Alright, thanks. I already got the 37 prayer(lit gilded altar ftw), but going for 43 anyway.

Fight it like a man, hide at the little side bit and let the gnomes kill it then run in and mage shortbow spec it.

yea.. your better off ranging or maging it after the gnomes get him down to low hp

USE A CANNON!

Best advice ever. I have used it, my friends have used it, and my sister used it. It's easy. Just set it up in front of you, and stand back with pro-mage on, reloading it.

Why is everyone still unsure about the Jungle Demon?

It's one of the biggest pushovers on a quest in the whole game. 37 Prayer and 40+ Range is all you need to kill it without any worry.

Use some form of ranged. Its easy as long as you don't let it reach you. A cannon is definitely a good idea. If you can't afford, or can't use one, then just use your best bow/crossbow with the best arrows/bolts and best d'hide you can.

If you can't afford a cannon, sell all your stuff and GET a cannon.

Nobody needs a cannon. I didn't even need one at level 34.

They're inconvenient, I would have died by the time I set it up.

Sure you can use a cannon to kill it quicker but it's pointless. If you don't melee it and you have protect from mage activated, you're untouchable.

You don't NEED a cannon to kill the Demon.

well the gnome people help you out a lot in the quest
i just let the gnome people bring his hp mostly down and used range

take mage pot super str food and stuff

super str dds then mage then when u get full spec pot back up and spec while waiting mage him
