 Post subject: laptop help

my brother was playing music on the laptop and i shut the laptop
now the screen is black but the lights are on
i unplugged the cord to the wall and it want shut off
i think it is in sleep mode and want get out of it
so can anyone help

well,
i reccomend you take the battery out (if you havet already done that. Since that's its main source of power, it has to shut off.
Also i reccommend that you see what size the music was. If it was a really large file, that would've contributed to the "qwirkiness of your computer.
IF that dosen't work, I use the fail-safe method, which is a sleg-hameer and a few nails. That will not only shut the computer down, but it will make a vast array of preety bright colours for you to look at =)

on the bottom of your laptop, there should be a section at the back. Thats where the battery pack shoulh be.take your lapetop to office works or DSE, they will definitley know how to helkp you in a situation like this. Every laptop is different, but htey all have there battery packs towards the back of the laptop. (refer to your user manual that came along with your laptop).
