So I'm gonna grab some nice tickets to go see Metallica, supported by Sword and Machine Head tomorrow when they come on sale.
My question to you is, what has been your favourite gig, and why was it so good? Also, how many gigs/festivals have you guys been to?
Myself I've not been to any festivals, but looking forward to Download 09. My favourite gig has got to be Disturbed, supported by Nevermore, because they're both absolutely amazing. Aaand A7X's supporting act, Bloodsimple, were absolutely amazing too, but I didn't really think much for Avenged themselves.

Foo Fighters Live At Wembley Stadium.
Went June this year. Wasn't really a big Foo Fighters fan before I went, just got the tickets because a few of my friends wanted to go. Not been to a huge number of gigs either but it blew everything else out of the water. The finale was pretty emotional as well.
Spoiler for Language:
That video can't do justice to how awesome the performance was.

Oh nice, very cool about the Metallica concert. Are they playing their new or old stuff though? Their old stuff is amazing but I'm not a real fan of their newer stuff.
I haven't really been to many concerts sadly. The biggest one I went to was a Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, and Skillet concert. That was pretty cool. I like going to see my guitar teachers band [Forwardhead] live. Now they are amazing. They're my favorite band =] You guys should look them up on itunes or something =D
i have only see one band which is my chemical romance but i also saw them twice once in Nashville and one in Memphis Nashville one was better cause it was inside

Newer stuff. New album coming out soon,
Seems alright. I'm just going because it's Metallica XD

I forgot I went to see them at the Metro Radio Arena, actually they were pretty damned good.
Did they do that thing where they walked up to the middle and let Taylor Hawkins do a song at London? XD

My most recent gig was Status Quo, I got 2 tickets for my father's 50th birthday, I really enjoyed it considering the only company I had was my father XD. I've seen Lostprophets, didn't think much of them or the supporting acts (The Blackout, The Gunz and another band which I can't remember ;/), and Red Hot Chili Peppers 4 times and they were awesome all 4 times. I also go to alot of local gigs with local bands playing, I enjoy the small venue and the bands that play often hang around in the bar afterwards and have a chat with everyone.

Went to OzzFest a couple years running at White River Amphitheater in Washington. Black Sabbath, Slayer, Mudvayne, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and a bunch of others on the main stage. Really impressed with Killswitch Engage and Mastodon on the second stage. Saw Killswitch again recently when they rolled into Anchorage.
