Yeah and Halloween masks are dropping too i think i sold my 2 today. had to sell for pretty much lowest. but i think that it will go back up later perhaps. but i did not want to take any chances.

I just noticed today, only the Purple Party Hat is at the top of the "Most expensive traded items" and then the Arcane shield, Armadyl Godsword and those sorts. Isn't that weird that they finally shoved those coloured bits of paper out? =]

Are you kidding?! Over, well over, half of the banks have gone bankrupt! (Due to people investing in houses and then running away with a debt over their head). The whole economy is run on borrowed money and you say US is not in depression =.="

About the party hats though, no idea. Didn't even know about it. Probably merchers doing the same with what they did with the godswords and everything.

OK, it is because of how the GE operates. They mentioned a long time ago that they would edit prices if things weren't selling on the GE. Phats were still be sold and bought, but it never happened in the GE because no one has a pile of 200M cash. They trade lesser rares and other items along with money for phats. Also, people use junk trades quite often with phats.

Not to mention money is being drained at outrageous rates by summoning and construction. It is almost as if Jagex *wants* phats to become worthless. We all know that they hate tradable rares. This doesn't make any sense, though. If they would have continued making all holiday drops tradable, then the current 'rares' wouldn't have to be at their crazy high prices because there would be so many types of rares from over the years.

The economy has basically been an epic failure since the introduction of the GE.

Actually it's helped me, before the GE came out I was selling adamantite for 1k ea and after that I was able to sell up to 1300 ish per ore ^^

It's helped some people in some aspects (plus being able to buy without having to mash the login button getting into world 1/2) but in general, yea I agree it's messed up, or at least shuffled, the economy haha

I think Jagex should do another holiday event and drop the party hats and watch people run to get them, then watch the party hats become worthless... for now, then it will get back and they do it all over again.
