Ever been scammed? If so, by who and what did you lose?

Me, I lost a rune plate to the "buying charcoal 500k" when I was a noob. I was wearing addy so the plate was worth a lot to me.

I lost full dragon to my friend when it was worth 20mil. I didn't know him in rl, he was a really good friend on rs for over a year and he wanted to 'try it on' so I let him. XD I had just bought it and he stole it.

I was actually giving the dragon armor to my other friend. [Actually, the picture of the man in non runescape related media is the guy I'm talking about.] Yeah, I don't really care about money on rs. I'd rather give people stuff.

Anyway, I cried when my other friend [not the guy in the picture] stole it haha. I remember I was crying, my dad heard me and came up in my room. He asked what was wrong, I told him, and for some reason he thought breaking my computer would be the sensible thing to do..

He literally picked my computer off the ground, lifted it over his head [hit and left a hole in the wall in the process] and slammed it down.. Yeah, instead of comforting me or just leaving me alone, he broke my computer XD He said 'I was letting the game get to me'

Hmm. When I was f2p I was buying full guthix for my friend [the guy in the drawing] We made money by selling big bones, he'd trade me the big bones and I would sell them for him back when there wasn't a ge. Then I'd buy the armor using the money from the big bones for him because he failed at merchanting. Anyway, I went to buy full guthix, and the guy put in regular rune platelegs instead of guthix platelegs, I didn't notice, and traded. I think that was about 300k or 200k back then. That was a lot of money to me >_< But it wasn't my money, so I collected big bones like crazy for 3 days straight and bought the platelegs again for him.

I've been scammed plenty of other times, those two were just the most memorable.

Jeez

I remember loosing about 2M off of a 'big bones' instead of 'dragon bones' trade for prayer. That was before all the implementations Jagex went through for trading. Also almost got dragged out into the wilderness with a ton of shark one day ... weird how I follow the person and start running full speed at the wilderness - that was before the ditch too.

Yes ive been scammed, when i was a noob i bought full addy(g) and someone said buying addy gold for 2400k. When i click accept only 24000 was in my inventory. I was pretty *****....

When i was a noob i was soo excited because i had veracs, dharoks and i wanted guthans aswell >.< and soo i was about a mill of having guthans or so and i saw a guy selling it cheap. He changed the spear.. >=\ stupid old leaf blade scam thing :twisted:

apart from that i dont think i have anymore.

i have been scammed a lot. but mainly 2 big ones. (im f2p so these might not sound too bad to you members).

First was a zamorak kiteshield. One of those things were the guy has 2 computers and says selling stupid item __k, and another buying stupid item __k. Sell to one the they both log out.

Then this guy was gonna buy some rune g items from me for like 1.7m. So first he put up 1.7m and declined and said srry he accidently did it. Then he put up 1.17m and i accepted.

yea one time i got third age mage bottom as a clue scrol reward well at that time i was 70 or 60 something so a noob and third age had just came out so it was a lotta money well i went to trade the bottom to a guy he give me veras whipe money and other stuff which it turned out to be like 24 mil but at the time the bottom was 60mil so like a noob i traded it without looking at prices and lost like 20mil but eh it happens to all of us right?

thats sad, but at the same time you ARE up 24m, and really if i got 24m from a clue id be happy...but you could have had 60m

3 times first one i lost like 100k :lol:

second one was worser lost over 1m to a friend i tho i can trust apearently i couldn't. Third time i made a mistake in clicking a page and ended up whit keyloger and so i lost around 5-8m i dont recall how much was rang boots and fury and arch ring back then.

But tbh these made me be what i am now so i am kindof thankfull for these ppls becouse i sometimes need good kick in *** to start doing something like making cash wich i am bad at

I've never been scammed but I've scammed myself. Before the trade limit, I accidentally over-paid for some mith ore. The guy who sold it to me was like "Thank you!!" and I still didn't catch it until later. Don't know what I was thinking since I basically paid him all the profits I would have made smithing the mith.

Ha ha one day i sold 1k yew logs for 350 not 650 cuz i was confused. and then later the guy goes why are you so kind??
and didn't understand what he meant and then i was like Poo!

Um... no I'm too good for scamming. People have tried but it doesn't work on me;

i.e this guy gave me 2 nats instead of a set of big bones for a limpwurt root (back when they were about the same price). He thought he scammed me and I just laughed it was so funny, he was extremely confused ^^

Or you know the one where you drop your coins and press Alt+F4 to double it? I just hopped worlds :mrgreen:
