Translation- Fear Me! I Am The Level 3 With A Party Hat Fools!

In my opinion, there is no point in lending rares. In today's Runescape society, the point of rares, is either to show hard work and dedication, or to show off your veteran status, which I doubt anyone with a rare, excluding a couple, have had the same rare for years to come. But back on topic. When people borrow rares, it's emanating a false statement to everyone: I have a rare, bow down to me. Then they get immense attention, because they are a magical level 3 with a partyhat. No, it's a lie, created by him and a friend or someone willing to lend a partyhat for free, to try to trick people into thinking they are a rich skiller.

I know I'm generalizing a bit much, not all level 3's with party hats are out to trick people, but most of them didn't earn them.

Conclusion: Rare shouldn't be lendable. It benefits the borrower none, and just is a waste of time. It has no benefit for the ingame features, other than showing off.

so...why were party hats worth 600m before lending? surely people wanted them for something other than to lend them out to people who would just steal them?

I'm thinking the exact same thing with a lot of expensive stuff these days

I wouldn't go so far as to stop lending rares, I mean if I had a phat and a good friend that wanted to wear it, there it goes, just another option besides wearing it myself (and of course I wouldn't randomly lend it either) ... but it gets annoying seeing new-ish RS players running around with the most expensive stuff you could think of.

In terms of a phat though ... yeah, it doesn't look right for someone who doesn't have a clue how sentimental it could be for some players run around going "omg im so great i can borrow im better than u lol" Seems like shame to me #-o

I have to disagree, I can easily get 30,000 per hour for a lend of my santa hat. If someone wants to spend more than that on the ability to stand around in Lumbridge, let them. Surely it's more of an incentive to actually buy one.

I see no problem with item lending rares, etc. my only wish is that you could only borrow an item say twice a week. This would solve the problem of people not buying those expensive items because they couldn't just get it from a friend, they'd have to buy it themselves if they wanted the item those other 5 days.

I totally disagree with the way that a rare is lendable, Now any single **** noob with full h.a.m. can have a red phat on him if he has a rich friend. Then, the noob with the rare think he is hardcore cuz he is like:
