You could always get AT&T DSL, Had no problems with them the top speed is up to 7.0 mbps. 35.00 A month, also there is verizon fioz but it might be not available in your area. COX Communications if you want. FIOS by Verizon is fiber optic.

Charter is one of the closet to Comcast I've had. It's fast, it's reliable, and it's cable. Andit's one of the only services that don't have any restrictions on bandwith or using BitTorent or anything.

It's funny, most of the ISPs here sell packages as 'Unlimited' but in the small print they usually have some ******* like 'fair usage policy' which caps you.

Virgin are just horrible though, I get throttled even when I don't download anything. Need to switch to sky.

I really doubt most of you will use over 250GB a month unless your like downloading 10 films a day or 20 operating systems. 250GB is a bloody lot, especially considering a lot of PC's and most laptops don't have that big a hard disk even!

250GB downloads per month equates to roughly 8.33 GB per day. Not saying it won't happen ever, but I doubt that you'll hit it. This is to prevent the top 1 or .1% from being hogs, but considering the cap is quite high I don't think the majority of users will ever know anything changed.
