Stop lossed??

Stop lossed is where soliders are told they can get out of what ever branch of military they are in but when they go to get out they are told they is going back in because they have been stopped lossed by the president..

I think that this is not right if they are told they are getting out i dont think the president should be able to send they back if they aint going to let them out then dont tell them they is getting out!!!

But that is just my opinion but i would like to hear yours on this subject!

when you sign up for the military, from that moment on you do what they say. even if you dont agree with it.

yeah i know the ones who enlist have to do it whether they want or not im just saying it aint right they tell they can leave then they go to leave and they end up having to go back i mean they shouldnt tell them things that aint true cause it gets there hopes up for nothing

In order to be stop-lossed, you have to be currently IN the military. When you leave the military and go back home, they cannot recall you. It's only possible to stop-loss before the person's period of active duty is up.

We all don't like being kept at work when we want to leave, but when you sign up for the military stop-loss is clearly noted in your contract. When you sign such a contract, you give your consent that you may be kept on duty longer than anticipation if ever need be. This can be really hard for people in warzones like Iraq and Afghanistan and I hope that this policy is only used in extreme cases.

I think it's definitely unfair, but that's life.
And that's just one of the many reasons I would never consider joining the military.

I feel sorry for any soldiers who thought they were getting out and heard otherwise ... hopefully they can try to make the best of their time regardless. But if they signed up knowing it was possible, then so be it

Yeah i mean i guess its pretty crappy but your right i guess they signed up so they can expect it sometime but i still think once they say a solider can get out that means he can get out but i guess if you sign for the military you are goverment property so they pretty much own you :roll:

Its the government, they do what they want. Id be ***** if i was told i could go home then be ordered back to the war. But i guess if you want out of the military you could just punch your CO.
