Do you believe in God?

I'm somewhat inbetween Yes and Unsure. Although I'm in no way saying I believe in a Humanoid God I do believe in a "force of consciousness"; because it's hard to describe my 'religious' beliefs I very rarely try. :p

The way I see it, religion as a whole was created when evolution took it's course on us. When we (I use "we" loosely, since it was an earlier form of humans, the neanderthals maybe) became more efficient at hunting and gathering, less time in the day was spent on those activities. In turn, we began to think, and people began to wonder what happened when they died. I believe that religion was created in order to keep people from being afraid of dying. If they believed that they were going to a higher place, mass chaos wouldn't arise over death. I don't see it as a hoax, more of hope, of something higher in this world. People need an explanation for the unknown, or else chaos would spread.

Anyways, yes, I believe in God. And I feel sorry for those people who, at their death beds, look towards spending an eternity six feet underground.

But would we notice it?

I can't imagine what happens after you die... Just nothing?

It's hard to accept the possibility. I'd like to believe, that we are reborn as someone/thing else without ever knowing we had a previous life.

Yeah I agree with that.

Also, sometimes I feel like my dog was a human in a previous life. He has very human-like qualities. And when you look into his eyes, you just feel like he was once something more than a dog. Hard to explain.

I haven't really decided if humans can reincarnate to animals, but it's something to think about.

i think we can, i think our souls just keep going from human form to animal form and it just never ends. i think its kind of cool to think about it.

The more I post stuff in these forums the more I realize I am such a Buddhist and didn't even know it XD

i answered no but what is it about nature and humans that people say its too perfect to not be designed humans are far from perfect and so is nature also everything is and always will be linked we could now be 2 foot tall and green but wed sit here and say what a design it was random uncalculable chance i think that got us here (just my opinion not trying to get on anyones nerves)

I think there's got to be some higher being out there, but I don't think it's god. I believe in the whole big bang thing, but there's the "what made the big bang?" thing. And what made what made the big bang?

I do, it just seems like...idk its just try to think about it where did we come from? where did God come from? who made him? how did he get there? growing up in christian family i think hes there but im not a crazy christian i keep my beliefs to myself, it kind of hurts the head to think about those questions for a period of time

Even thou i dont believe in god, it doesnt mean that i hope that he doesnt exist.
I wish there would be a place, where i could do what ever i want to.

Personally, i believe there is a "God" but i'm not about to say that there is a certain one. I think that "God" is what you would get if you combined the main diety in all major religions. To many relgions have a diety that shares the same characteristics. I think that there is such thing as a "God", but nobody could explain what exactly he/she/it does/is.
