I think you would have a different view on that if it was your country.

I think my view takes my country into account. We've seen a trend lately of America and England being close allies and I'd rather not see my country get involved in another fight, especially not one i believe America would wind up losing if it escalated into something bigger, which it undoubtedly would if America jumped in.

Go the diplomatic route and if it fails, keep out. Best option IMO.

Owe you? Err.. No. Don't think Britain followed America in to Iraq because we 'owe' you anything. I doubt Tony Blair was sitting around with his advisors deciding whether or not to go in to Iraq and they all decided 'well.. we kinda owe them for ww2..'. No, didn't happen for that reason and no political decision would ever be made on those grounds. Plus, we don't owe you anything. I'm sick of the whole American attitude of 'we won ww2'. It was the Soviets who won ww2 if anyone. They suffered far more casualties than the Americans did. Proof:

Don't want to enter that whole debate anyway. I just hate that American attitude when it's untrue and blatantly false.

You do know why the Soviets lost more lifes than the US did right? It is because they got there homeland invaded and villages massacred. And I dont think that just because you loose more casualties or loves than the other guy means you won.

Yeah.. and mainly because they were involved in a lot more battles with the Nazis. Remember America didn't enter world war 2 until 2 years after it began. You only joined in when your own territories were threatened. America didn't win ww2 single handedly, you didn't save anyone, we don't owe you anything. So don't kid yourself.

Anyway, get back on topic. You can debate this all you want but you'll never be right.

The war is either over, or about to end.

Wars over, Abkhazia and South Ossetia are now Russian territories with promises that Georgia will never try to take them by arms.

The war might be over, but there will always be conflict in that area of Russia. It hasn't changed for 300 years.

WARS BACK ON FOLKS.

NEWS UPDATE: Russia broke the ceasefire by advancing on a Georgian town.

Mr Bush goes HEW *** THE **** D'YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? And sends his trained war monkey (Mrs Rice) along with some nice men with guns to provide aid for the Georgian government. Oh lawdy it's almost like 'Nam again.

News but i forget which wrote:
George Bush today said the US military would start delivering humanitarian aid to Georgia amid reports that Russia has broken the terms of a ceasefire in the Caucasus conflict.

Bush also has dispatched Condoleezza Rice, the US secretary of state, to Tbilisi "to rally a free world in defence of a free Georgia", as he put it.

I think Bush should get the hell out of other countries' business.

He attacked Iraq for no reason whatsoever(except oil) and now the hypocrite wants Russians to withdraw their troops out of Georgia? Can't wait until he goes and lives out the rest of his days on his ranch (as MQ has said).

EDIT: And also, Russians lost a lot of men in WW2, because:
1) It was a surprise attack.
2) The Russian Generals were crazy and just sent mass amounts of soldiers running right into German Fortifications.
3) Russia did not have a very large supply of weapons.
