I've been getting messages from several people saying that I has virus.

Should I just run a virus scan? :o

Yes, go ahead, scanning your computer does no harm, and if you don't scan it, it could be the end.

I don't think so.

The only thing the virus does is send ads to some people on my contacts list.

uninstall MSN, and if you dont have a anti virus, get AVG anti, then scan your computer with House Call, it will remove all the viruses.http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

If random people are telling you that you've been infected, you're probably just getting spam messages from bots trying to get you to try some product. If you're sending the messages, yeah, you've got something on your computer. Check the processes in the Task Manager to see if you can recognize anything particular, and if so try to terminate.

Definitely run the scans, and see if they can get rid of everything. Your anti virus should have picked up on something before this point..Just curious, are you using anything?

AVs don't pick up this type of MSN virus.

This one is a script. Usually. AVs almost never do anything with MSN scripts and whatnot.

Do you use StuffPlug, or MSGPlus?

Ohh are they random people? I though he meant like his friends. If it's random it might be a trojan or just make a new MSN.
