The end of the American sports car

Under this new law all car manufacturer's will have to make there cars have 40% better fuel economy. So this means a Corvette will have to at least get 40 mpg, which is impossible for a built V8 LS3 motor. So in 2020 there American sports car will come to an end.

unless you use your car to race no one needs one going that fast anyway. i mean it only lets people haul *** on the road and end up killing someone.

just last year there was a 18 year old girl that got a realllly face car (cant remember what for sure) she had it for 2 days it was her first car, pulling out of school she hit a tree and died. because she was going to fast trying to show off.

so maybe if they make cars a little slower people well not be so stupid.

Hmm.. too bad :/ I was looking forward to driving a Dodge Viper in my lifetime but that makes the chances decrease I suppose. Not that I need to go 60 mph in 4 seconds, or get 13/22 mpg city/highway. Not something I'd like to own .. just getting the chance to drive it would be nice.

Guess the U.S. will eventually be short on horsepower ... at least we'll get good mileage.

You cant use that argument. YOu really dont need ot be going faster than 65 mph. ANd if you wanna talk about fast, try the Autoban, in Europe. NO speed limit.

yes, but tons and tons of rules. just because you got a fast car doesnt mean you can get on there and haul *** or act like a fool.

what im trying to say is, maybe if you make some people slow down there well be less car caused deaths. how could that be wrong? i think 70mph is as fast as anyone needs to ever go other then cops fire trucks ect...and maybe raceing like nascar...gawd nascar at 70mph would suck lol.
