Got to say I've got mixed reactions, they have changed everything i loved about the old one series.
The new art style i think is good, it's always tried to be some fantasy fairy tale and the new style reminds me of some old disney film. I **** love the new look combat, I like how Elika (sp?) gets involved and it's a bit of a fast paced tag team fighting style.
The animation and things are great and i like how they both seem to help each other out, do not like the whole cannot die BS, ruins it, if theres no risk then making that leap of faith that moment where i have to wonder can i clear that jump or not stops being as exciting because i know i can just try again instantly. I'm really hoping this'll be a great game like the previous ones but i have my worries.
well i've only had no. 3 in the past so cant comment on them all but 3 was good.
The instantly helping thing cant be real because not dieing is just boring. the old way was better.
Exactly my thoughts, it had a negative affect on Bioshock but this is worse because you start right back at the exact same spot. They explain it was to make it easier on casuals, sorry i don't like my game being dumbed down to appeal to more, if their to stupid to work at it or figure it out then their to stupid to operate a video game console in the first place.
Still praying for Online co-op but it's looking less likely, pity.

Prince of Persia is one of my favorite series and I love the art direction but that really is it. The E3 demo that was shown just didn't feel like the same game. Now, the running walls and leaping around do crazy things aspect of the game has pretty much been taken away; and that was the heart and soul of PoP. It seems now the game is no risk at all and that doesn't appeal for a PoP game. I also don't like the whole "you will only fight one enemy at a time" thing. I liked the old combat that was more of an Assassins Creed style. Guess we'll have to wait and see...
